A special three-day anti-polio campaign on Monday launched in twenty one districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is pertinent to mention here that the polio drive is being carried out after surfacing of polio cases in Bannu and Hangu district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in this year.

According to health officials, a total of 4.7 million under age of five will be immunized polio vaccine besides IPV drops during the campaign. The campaign will be conducted in 21 districts of the province.
